Former President Donald Trump to Headline World’s Largest Bitcoin Conference in Nashville

Former President Donald Trump will speak at the world’s largest Bitcoin conference in Nashville from July 25-27 this month.

This year’s conference, Bitcoin 2024, is being held at Music City Center for the first time after being held in Miami, Florida, for the past three years.

The conference, a three-day “immersive experience aimed at inspiring, educating, and connecting the global Bitcoin community,” is expected to attract over 20,000 attendees.

In addition to Trump, other notable figures scheduled to speak at the conference include independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., actor and political commentator Russell Brand, former CIA officer and National Security Agency (NSA) consultant Edward Snowden, ARK founder and CEO Cathie Wood, and MicroStrategy executive chairman Michael Saylor.

Bitcoin Magazine applauded Trump’s upcoming appearance at the conference.

“The inclusion of Donald Trump as a speaker is particularly notable given his recent commitments to the Bitcoin community. Last month, Trump met with major U.S. Bitcoin miners, including representatives from CleanSpark, Riot Platforms, and more, pledging his support for Bitcoin mining both on the global stage and in Washington, D.C. In May, Trump said he would ensure that the future of Bitcoin and crypto will be made in the USA, while also promising to protect the right to self-custody to the nation’s 50 million crypto holders, if elected president,” the outlet said.

“As Trump vies for the presidency, his backing of Bitcoin contrasts sharply with the stance of his opponent, President Joe Biden, who has been less favorable towards the cryptocurrency industry. With Biden yet to confirm his participation at Bitcoin 2024, the event may highlight the stark differences in the candidates’ approaches to Bitcoin,” the outlet added.

Tennessee U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Bill Hagerty (R-TN) also applauded Trump’s upcoming visit to Nashville.

“Americans’ decision at the polls will determine the fate of Bitcoin in the U.S. President Trump is the only candidate who will deliver prosperity and freedom,” Hagerty said.

Blackburn added, “Looking forward to welcoming President [Trump] back to Nashville at [Bitcoin 2024]! He will be a strong supporter of Bitcoin in his second term — as promised in the new [Republican Party] 2024 platform.”

In May, Trump’s campaign announced that it would be accepting cryptocurrency donations by launching a fundraising page that would allow any federally permissible donor to give—through its joint fundraising committees—using any cryptocurrency accepted through the Coinbase Commerce product.
